Wits Business School and its 200 case studies: our first African institution
Good news for educators or teachers interested by the case method! We are currently adding around 200 English cases studies from Wits Business School (WBS).
Wits Business School
As an institution affiliated with the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg (South Africa), one of the top tertiary institutes in Africa, WBS’ aim is to train leaders who can fashion the future of Africa and raise the values-bar on how business is done on the continent. Learning is therefore relevant to the challenges and opportunities faced on the continent. WBS provides students with a deep understanding of the complexities of doing business in Africa within a global context.

Wits Business School case collection now available on eValorix
The WBS Case Centre is Africa’s largest case study centre and WBS is one of the only academic institutions on the continent to have such a centre. Considering that the business environment in South Africa has many specific characteristics which can hardly be explored with international cases, WBS thus created the Case Centre in 1999 to provide students and academics with a needed resource. Its cases focus on many areas of business and management: strategy, finance, economics, etc.
Since 1999, more than 200 cases have been developed on companies as varied as Harley Davidson, AngloGold, Nando’s, Discovery, SABMiller and many others. These cases will be gradually added to eValorix’ case studies catalog.
