Leslie Chan is Associate Professor and Associate Director of the Centre for Critical Development Studies at the University of Toronto – Scarborough. He is also Director of Bioline International, an Open Access platform for peer-reviewed journals from Global South countries, and serves on the advisory board of the Directory of Open Access Journal and the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment.
