Jay Kumar has held leadership positions with TEC Edmonton for two decades. As the Vice President of Technology Management, Jay heads up the Technology Transfer office, supervises the provision of intellectual property services to inventors and entrepreneurs in the region and helps create new spin-off companies from University of Alberta inventions. In his career, Jay has been directly involved in creating more than 40 new spin-off companies. He is a member of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), and the Licensing Executives Society (LES). Jay holds an MBA with a specialization in Technology Commercialization, a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and Master of Science in Physics.​
