Derrick is one of the Technology Transfer Managers with McGill’s Office of Innovation and Partnerships. He is responsible for managing and commercializing the intellectual property created by McGill’s researchers from the Departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Physics, the School of Computer Science as well other software focused intellectual properties from other Faculties. In addition, he provides guidance to students and researchers who are exploring technology entrepreneurship. Prior to joining McGill, he worked in Sales, Business Development and Program Management with technology companies in the networking/telecom, optical and semiconductor industries. He has an undergraduate degree in applied mathematics and engineering, a Master of Science in Financial Engineering and a Master of Business Administration, and is a licensed professional Engineer in Ontario.
